All About the Process

We currently offer three types of design services. These include Virtual E-Design, In-Home Consultations & Custom Design, and Designer for a Day. Since each project is truly unique, Jenny will put her time and effort into pulling a space together with no detail left unnoticed. Whichever service suites you best, Jenny will save you time and money by bringing samples to your home or mail them directly to you, she will guide you on the best path and bring in the professionals if needed. When applicable, Jenny will also extend her trade discounts to the client, which can be a huge savings! For more information about each design service, here's a brief description below.

VIRTUAL E-DESIGN

No matter where you live, Jenny can assist you in making your vision come to life. Whether you're starting with a fresh palette or remodeling a few rooms, we can work together to make your dreams a reality. This package is for those looking for a more affordable decorating service who want to obtain a personalized style without compromising designer details. After a virtual Skype and new client questionnaire, Jenny will create a custom vision board, email you detailed wall elevations and/or furniture layout, then email you a complete product list to buy everything with ease on your own time. The furniture floor plan will be your guide for furniture placement.

IN-HOME CONSULTATIONS & CUSTOM DESIGN

This service is for the client that wants a polished and cohesive looking home, but doesn't have the time or resources to look for, research, manage all the details, and pull the look together. Let Jenny do the measurements and discuss the new client questionnaire in person with you at our one hour complimentary In-Home Consultation. Then we go back to the drawing board and curate the myriad of options for you based on your functional needs, design aesthetic, timeline, and investment. We will then separate our design process into phases and send a contract with the scope of work, design fees, payment schedule and the initial retainer invoice. Once the paperwork is done then the fun part starts!

Design Phase: Jenny will develop a floor plan and furniture plan. We will schedule a phone call to review and discuss the furniture investment you specified. Then we source all the furniture, textiles, lighting, finishes, request quotes and check stock status. We will usually provide 1-3 options for each item without overwhelming you with too many choices. Then we will schedule a time to present the design plan along with samples and swatches for a good visual and feel of fabrics for upholstery, window treatments, paint colors, tile, hardware, etc. We will email you the design plan and make final selections or revisions if necessary.

Implementation Phase: After the design presentation and final selections are approved, I handle all the specifications. This may include final quotes, current lead times, collect payments, place and track orders and schedule the work to be done. Furniture may be shipped to a delivery company that will receive, inspect and deliver white glove to your home all at once. We will schedule an install day with you and Jenny will be on site to ensure a seamless delivery. Custom window treatments will be installed once they have all arrived. For decorative work such as painters and wallpaper installers, I can give you referrals or you are welcome to source your own contractors. This phase can vary from a few weeks to several months depending on the project.

Finishing Phase: This is the part where we make the space look complete and pulled together! This includes all the soft furnishings like pillows, vases, decorative accessories, art, etc... At the end of each project, we may request to take photos to showcase our work and to make it post worthy.

DESIGNER FOR A DAY

This service is for the client that doesn't fit into a full-service design option as listed above. Do you simply need help adding the finishing touches to pull a room together? Have you recently purchased a new construction home and need some help selecting the finishes or color palette? Do you get overwhelmed or undecided when shopping for furniture or accessories? Then Designer for a Day is the perfect package for you. Jenny will work with you for 4-6 hours offering you all the design advice needed for your design dilemma. On a scheduled day, we will hammer out all the details of what is desired and needed. Then Jenny can take you shopping or meet at a design studio and get the project rolling. Jenny will be right by your side, guiding you and helping you to select all the right pieces to complete the project. If necessary, then we go back to the clients home and set things up with the remainder of the time. Our goal is to create the most productive, yet streamlined experience for our client, so they can come home to a completed space at the end of the day.
